Re: Oculus Rift

Ooh, anybody with VR here gonna be getting Half-Life: Alyx?

That was another benefit of getting the Index / Knuckles controllers. They've put the game into my Steam library for free :D

Re: Oculus Rift

Sorry for the update delay... So far, my journey with the Valve Index has been awesome. I initially bought the Index and hooked it up to my existing computer, and it worked fine, though some games were a little jittery. They looked amazing though. After a few months, I decided I needed a CPU upgrade...

Re: Trivia

For the first time in decades, I'm revisiting all the websites I have accounts on and am updating my passwords! It's been long overdue and according to a page I found, my email address and password I used on most forums has been compromised by one or more of the various data breaches over the years!...

Re: It is sad

Good luck with the new baby Ekona, I hope everything goes well with you and the young one once it arrives :) I've got better news than on my last visit here. My job is safe again, we seem to be slowly getting back on our feet in the college. I didn't get the training I wanted though for our CRM. I d...

Re: Oculus Rift

After umming and aahing for a few years over whether to go down the VR rabbit hole, I bought a PSVR headset for my brothers PS4 and had a play with it on my PC before taking it round to him. I loved it. Playing Subnautica in VR, even though it was only sit in the chair and look around VR, it was ama...

Re: The Film and TV Thread

Just watched Spider-Man Far From Home. I enjoyed it but there were a couple of niggles I had... If the drones were doing the damage, how did they do the water damage? They couldn't possibly hold that much water to spout it out as much as was shown. Also, if they're firing ammunition into the...

Re: Trivia

Glad everybody seems to be having good news and having mostly good things happening to them :) I'm getting back into my biking again and getting my step-dad to come along with me so he can start to get fitter. We went on a 20km ride last Friday, which was his third bike ride in probably 15 years! I ...

Re: Trivia

That sucks, hope you find happiness again. One of my friends has recently left his wife, they'd been together more than 20 years. Apparently he'd been unhappy for a while, they tried to work things out but nothing worked, so he left. They still seem friendly with each other at least. --- I decided t...

Re: Trivia

Yesterday I decided to delete some files from a Minecraft mapping mod (Dynmap) that I was using on a server to free up a bit of disk space.

It hasn't even started deleting the files yet, it's still calculating the time remaining. It's been doing this now for around 35 hours!!

Re: It is sad

Mice - eeeek They were a proper pest and one of the reasons why I closed my shop, so am glad you've got your issue sorted. We went around three weeks not seeing any mice after the initial 11 found. Then one day, another two were up in the traps! Checked around and didn't see any new holes anywhere....

Re: No Man's Sky

Has anybody been on this game since the latest patches to bring it up to how it was supposed to be on launch? I've got it now but not booted it up in a while. Last time I looked they had multiplayer in the style of other players appearing as floating lights and you could sign a visitor's board in cu...

Re: It is sad

Wow, so much has happened with everybody since I was last here! Hope you're recovering well RB. I'm pretty much in the same position I was 18 months ago, trainee web and MIS developer, still trying to learn C#, MVC, ASP.net etc. but badly. I've recently taken up learning Polish on the Duolingo progr...

I often have to nag my step-dad as he doesn't seem to know what a bin is. Just leaves rubbish all over the kitchen counter after making food.

Re: The Film and TV Thread

Not sure if this really fits here, but I just wanted an opinion... If the roles were reversed in this advert, do you think there would be a slight kerfuffle, what with all the perverts spying on the person getting undressed behind a 2-way mirror? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qf9H2fZL1QU
