Re: No Man's Sky

Has anybody been on this game since the latest patches to bring it up to how it was supposed to be on launch? I've got it now but not booted it up in a while. Last time I looked they had multiplayer in the style of other players appearing as floating lights and you could sign a visitor's board in cu...

Re: It is sad

Wow, so much has happened with everybody since I was last here! Hope you're recovering well RB. I'm pretty much in the same position I was 18 months ago, trainee web and MIS developer, still trying to learn C#, MVC, ASP.net etc. but badly. I've recently taken up learning Polish on the Duolingo progr...

Re: Parenting

I often have to nag my step-dad as he doesn't seem to know what a bin is. Just leaves rubbish all over the kitchen counter after making food.

Re: The Film and TV Thread

Not sure if this really fits here, but I just wanted an opinion... If the roles were reversed in this advert, do you think there would be a slight kerfuffle, what with all the perverts spying on the person getting undressed behind a 2-way mirror? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qf9H2fZL1QU

Re: Trivia

I have sad news today. Just received a phone call from my mum saying my granddad died in his sleep last night
I think he knew he was getting close on his 88th birthday last week as he kept mentioning how he's only alive because we keep him topped up with rum.

Re: Rants

I've just spent the better part of 4 hours creating a playlist to copy onto my USB stick for a trip I'm going on in the morning. Went to synchronise it and media player decided to rename all the files to random numbers and then only copy two of the files onto my stick! Why would it do this?! It only...

Annoying webforms

Hi everybody :) Just here for a little rant today... I've been tasked with attempting to re-style some new web forms software we're going to be using to fit in with the college look. This should be a simple thing to do, even with the HTML pages being created by code we have no input into. But then y...

Re: Trivia

This week I've been playing with my new NAS, tis a very useful piece of equipment. Means I no longer have an issue with phone storage for photos and videos as long as I have internet access :) Also I've bought myself a couple of cables so I have now got my old Sega Megadrive and 32x back up and runn...

Re: Trivia

Yeah that does sound good.
It was similar in my old job, though they expected people to do the work of others who were paid a lot more.

Re: Changes - in life

That sounds like you've got some thinking to do with regards to your jobs there. I find changing jobs a scary thing, but it could be good to have a change too. Being the only person working in the shop though, would you have to sell the business if you were to go work with your uncle or would it jus...

Re: Rants

I'm going through some training for my new job, refreshing on stuff I already know as well as things I've never done before. One of the test questions is this... Complete the code to break the loop after 'The number is now 3' is output. var I; for (I = 0; I < 10; I++) { if (I == [______] document.wr...
