Re: PS5 vs XSX

... Not sure you’ll ever get hold of an FE, personally I’d get whatever one you can and just enjoy it. I think the luck fairy visited me yesterday. Firstly a young lady I like invited me to join her and her friend on a bike ride around the forest, then this morning I managed to get onto the Scan we...

Re: PS5 vs XSX

You could probably get three times the price looking at some of the prices going online!! I'm still holding out for an FE card though, I'm confident I'll get one next time they drop. It was only my own eagerness that blocked me this time. I cleaned up my PC case the other day in anticipation, had to...

Re: Trivia

That sounds terrible. I'm glad you yourself weren't badly hurt during the accident. In totally unrelated news... I'm still working from home, pretty much full time. Still enjoying it, sat watching the birds on the garden. Going for a ride in the forest at lunch times etc. It doesn't look like we'll ...

Re: Future of TOP

Yeah that was sad to hear about. But, thanks to this place still being active, we did hear about Glamdring's passing. I know I'm not the most active user. Even back when this place was much more active I'd often be away for months at a time then suddenly pop back in. Much like today. It's nice to ha...

Re: PS5 vs XSX

How is the 3080 holding up? I'm still trying to get hold of one. I was >..< this close yesterday, but accidentally mis-clicked and put a 3060 into my cart on scan, and they're currently doing one 3000 series per customer, so I couldn't add the 3080 until I'd removed the 3060, and by that time they'd...

Re: Oculus Rift

Well, one year in and still loving my Index. I've had to return both of the controllers once due to stick issues where they didn't click in whilst pushed forwards, making running in many games very difficult. It was a known issue with them. Then my mum accidentally hit herself with one of the new co...

Re: Trivia

Has anybody out there had a chance to spy that comet that's currently in the sky? I've been out looking but not been able to see it yet. Last night I did see the ISS fly over, and then spotted the moons of Jupiter and a slightly elongated pinpoint of light that, had I used a more powerful set of bin...

Re: 2020

The first couple of months of the lockdown were a bit bad, not being able to see my nephews and nieces for so long, but I've been able to get over to see them a couple of times now so I'm not so sad. We've had a couple of covid related deaths in the family, no close family members though, only relat...

Re: RIP Glamdring

Sad news this. And I thought 2020 was already quite bad.

RIP Glamdring. I hope your friends and family are all ok.

Re: Oculus Rift

Ooh, anybody with VR here gonna be getting Half-Life: Alyx?

That was another benefit of getting the Index / Knuckles controllers. They've put the game into my Steam library for free :D

Re: Oculus Rift

Sorry for the update delay... So far, my journey with the Valve Index has been awesome. I initially bought the Index and hooked it up to my existing computer, and it worked fine, though some games were a little jittery. They looked amazing though. After a few months, I decided I needed a CPU upgrade...

Re: Trivia

For the first time in decades, I'm revisiting all the websites I have accounts on and am updating my passwords! It's been long overdue and according to a page I found, my email address and password I used on most forums has been compromised by one or more of the various data breaches over the years!...

Re: It is sad

Good luck with the new baby Ekona, I hope everything goes well with you and the young one once it arrives :) I've got better news than on my last visit here. My job is safe again, we seem to be slowly getting back on our feet in the college. I didn't get the training I wanted though for our CRM. I d...

Re: Oculus Rift

After umming and aahing for a few years over whether to go down the VR rabbit hole, I bought a PSVR headset for my brothers PS4 and had a play with it on my PC before taking it round to him. I loved it. Playing Subnautica in VR, even though it was only sit in the chair and look around VR, it was ama...
