I have a gigbyte mobo which is 5 years old. When I got my geforce 970 the other year the pc wouldn't even boot with that card. After i switched back to my old card and updated the bios the 970 worked. Today I tried switching on my PC and it wouldn't boot. After removing the graphics card I heard it boot into windows. Since then I've sold my old gpu so I tried hooking up the hdmi from my onboard gpu but couldn't see anything on my tv, my momitor is displayport only so I couldn't hook thatup.
Could it be that the CMOS has died and the bios went back to the original settings? Or maybe my graphics card has died? I could get a cheap 2nd hand graphics card if I can't get my onboard working. One weird thing about my computer is that it's never made a bios beep, even for a successful boot.
If anyone can help or confirm my suspicions that'd be awesome. I tried reddit but no one replied
