QFT, I really liked it. Did you see NightWatch?

Nope, never heard of it. Any good then?

Again, nope. Donnie Darko is the single worst film I've ever had the displeasure of sitting through, and I've seen the Phantom Menace.

I thought NightWatch was great: it's all in Russian (subtitled; it gives the whole thing a much darker feel than if it was dubbed into english) but works brilliantly. I can't remember what the reviews of it were like, but I definitely enjoyed it. If you like Constantine I think you'll appreciate it - it's of a similar vein, but not done in a very non-Hollywood style.

Can anyone tell me if Eastern promises has subtitles in it in, say a DVD version.
The d/l I have doesn't, and although sometimes confusing, I like it.

Apparently some people don't like it.

Strange but true.

Agree.

Although I don't like the part at the end where the main organiser gets shot and dies, wakes up to answer the phone, then dies again.
Weird.

I'm currently watching White Men Can't Jump on Sky. One of my favourite films when I was at school, and it's still brilliant now. Love it.

Quite looking forward to Iron Man. Having seen the trailer the other day, looks pretty good.... for a Marvel flick.

E4, 8pm tonight, Waynes World. 8)

I'm not sure about watching Iron Man. I mean, it's supposed to be a very good film, but unlike Hulk, Spiderman, Fantastic 4 et al I kn ow absolutely nothing about Iron Man at all: The back story, his name, any enemies... Nothing. Straight off the bat it's not something that really appeals to me, whether it's good or not. That said, no doubt I'll grab it on BD when it comes out for Xmas.

In the purchases thread, RB wrote:I bought 30 Days of Night and Hitman: Extreme Edition on BluRay.

Both good choices by me. 30 Days of night was a bit slow but fuck me the leader of the vamps is one awesome character. Hitman was just win all the way through. By far the best GametoFilm ever. I want an Olga Kurylenko for Christmas.
A slight majority of a statistically worthless sample size agree.
