Bumping into things......

Postby Captain Sisko » Wed Nov 21, 2018 12:46 pm

So I had a minor bump into an Audi TT (mk2 I think) a few weeks ago
Stupid mistake, I reversed from a parking bay and the towbar went crunch on the numberplate/grill

I left my details on a note under the window wipers but didn't hear anything back

Maybe they've just reported it to their insurer and passed over the details you've left. Have you reported it to your insurer?

Or maybe the paper blew off, someone took it off, or they simply got into their car without noticing, turned on the wipers and the paper flew off. (The Mrs did that once with a Council parking ticket - didn't notice the plastic wallet, set her wipers going as she drove away and then thought "What was that? Something's just flicked off the screen - looked like a parking ticket!" She contacted the Council and was able to get it all sorted out).

I didn't report it to my insurer but I did take photos of the car so have the damage and number plate as a just in case

Insurers will write it off

I want to keep her for a bit as shes had a new windscreen and a set of Continental tyres put on in the last 3 months.
She only needs a bumper and bootlid which look like bolt off and on parts
Theres someone nearby with the parts in the right colour

Waiting on my insurer to get back to me as I've started feeling discomfort in my neck
Went A&E (after calling my GP surgery first) on Tuesday and they said it was muscle sprain
