The elements were a bit duff on the Fiesta on the front and rear screens. I haven't had much call to use the heated screens yet with it being warm now

If the insurance do my screen it's a £100 excess
If I get it done locally off a guy breaking a Focus currently it's £110 (for the screen + trim and fitting)

I want to see if I can get some other bits and bobs too as one tail light doesn't work (even after new bulb) and the rear fog only works when the bulb is pressed into the holder.

Been checking the MOT history of my Focus (worth doing before buying any used car!) And can def see somethings that will need doing for the next MOT

These were advisories when it passed in Aug 2016 (so prob things for me to look at in 2017)
Nearside Front Anti-roll bar linkage has slight play in a ball joint (2.4.G.2)
Front Exhaust has a minor leak of exhaust gases flex pipe (7.1.2)
Offside Rear Rear wheel bearing has slight play (2.6.2)
Offside Front Road wheel slightly damaged (4.2.A.1a)

And what it failed on in 2016

Offside Windscreen wiper does not clear the windscreen effectively (8.2.2)
Nearside Stop lamp not working (1.2.1b)
Nearside Front Front position lamp(s) not working (1.1.A.3b)
Offside Front front brake binding (3.7.B.1)
Advisory notice item(s)
Nearside Front Anti-roll bar linkage has slight play in a ball joint (2.4.G.2)
Front Exhaust has a minor leak of exhaust gases flex pipe (7.1.2)
Offside Rear Rear wheel bearing has slight play (2.6.2)

We can't get the full history for ours over here.

But it is funny seeing the local buy and sell groups, if it has an English reg, chances are it has been MOT'd over there at some point, and I would say about 10% are clocked, it's funny calling them out on it.

"Immaculate 98k MK2 golf!"

Oh is that why it was MOT'd in england in 2014 with 110 on the clock then...

What a shit week for motoring. ICE banned from 2040, F1 gets the halo, Merc pull out of DTM, Porsche pull out of LMP1.

Really sad times. Call me a dinosaur if you like, but electric cars are transport not a hobby.

What we need is some sort of device that can split water into oxygen and hydrogen that's small enough to fit in a car and powered by some kind of super battery. That way you could put water in the petrol tank, squirt hydrogen and oxygen into a monstrous V10 and get stream out of the exhaust.
Big shouty fast cars with zero emissions.
A slight majority of a statistically worthless sample size agree.

Why would the tank be called a petrol tank?

I just can’t get excited about Volvos. Q cars of the highest degree sure, but unless I was buying a cheap shed to commute in I’d buy pretty much anything else.
