Buy a Leica M9 and a 50mm Noctilux f/0.9 LENS or you're a faggot!!!!!!!!!!! Should set you back around 10 grand

I didn't reply because the Lumix was the correct answer.

I can confirm that the Lumix is the way forward as per RB's recommendation.

Oh but I'm going to get the TZ-8 rather than the TZ-10.

Basically same camera without some stupid GPS feature and fair whack cheaper

I'm tired of taking pics on shitty phone cameras.
But I don't want a BEAST.

So help me out image fags.

Samsung NX3300 or Sony Alpha A5000.

Both are compact camera systems so they have interchangeable lenses which will serve you well for the future. Both are a little over your budget at £250-£270 but the extra is well worth it over a fixed lens camera.

Where do you shop?

The Samsung one was so expensive that it scared me!
The Sony does look purty.
It comes with a lens attached right?

Do you have any suggestions that are just normal point and shoot?

I would buy the one you suggested but right now the thing preventing me is that it would feel like walking around with an erection in my coat pocket unless I wanted to hang it around my neck.
