NEED MOUSE

Postby Dan » Sun May 20, 2012 10:19 am

The buttons on my Logitech MX revolution have gone a bit dodgy, so I'm in need of a replacement.

It needs to be wireless (and this needs to work properly through a desk, unlike the MX), it needs to have a scroll wheel, and it needs to be a proper size for my stupid spade-hands.

Any suggestions?

A slight majority of a statistically worthless sample size agree.

Logitech Performance MX

Really decent size mouse, works on any surface, scroll wheel can be clicky or freewheel, all buttons well placed and have a very positive action... Need I go on?

It tastes of sperms. At least, mine does now.

I has a proper mouse.

Logitech G700

Loads of buttons, scroll wheel, decent size, both wired and wireless - just yank the cable out when you want.

Basically, it's like Ekona's but less gay.

Looks like it was born in the 80's. So square, man.

Pfft.

Anyway, ignore the idiotic review I linked. I just posted the first result from Google. The review complains that the sensitivity is too low - despite being able to change the sensitivity via the control panel and that it's one of the hallmark features of gamer mice that they have dedicated buttons for increasing/decreasing the sensitivity right next to your fucking finger...! Did they even glance at the mouse, FFS?

I recently replaced my MX 518 with a Steelseries Sensei Fnatic

Pricey, but I love it.

I'm currently looking into getting a new one too as my otherwise nice MS Wireless LASER 5000 is getting a bit old and gunky :-(

Been thinking about an Apple Magic Trackpad as a couple of friends swear by them (both said it takes a couple of days to get used to them, but once you do, it's great). Unsure.

I have the magic trackpad and it's great. You'll regret it for a day as your hand tries to un-learn years of mousing, but after that you'll wonder why you ever put up with dragging a lump of plastic around on your desk.

Can you game with it? I assume it works like a laptop touchpad, but conveniently bigger...

You can, but I don't do much desktop gaming anymore so I can't say how good it is for that purpose.
