SketchUP! - 'Google SketchUp is a deceptively simple, amazingly powerful tool for creating, viewing, and modifying 3D ideas quickly and easily'

have used this since it was version 3 (when it was still @last software), and now use the pro version of this at work, brilliant bit of software, and not much difference between the free and pro version as far as I can tell either.

I've got in on my desktop in a downloads folder from ages ago back at PCFF.

Never ever been installed it or even clicked on.

Would it be illegal if I was to send the old version to you ?

*edit*

Sorry, but can someone please change this thread so it's an announcements and not a sticky. Essential one is.

I made it a sticky not an announcement because it wasn't essential.

But hey ho. If that's what people want, I'll do it.

After installing it and being very impressed with it, I must recommend Quintessential Player.

Tis a superb audio player that I discovered having got fed up with the now very bug-ridden Winamp. Development on QCD has taken a back seat for a few years but it works flawlessly and has some neat little features.

For the Mac:

IM: Adium - http://www.adiumx.com
BitTorrent: BitRocket - http://www.bitrocket.org (has been accused of stealing code from other clients!)
IRC: Colloquy - http://colloquy.info
Video Conversion: iSquint - http://www.isquint.org
Code/Text Editor: Smultron - http://smultron.sourceforge.net

That covers some useful stuff not included in OS X by default :)

+1 for Adium, Colloquy and iSquint.

I haven't tried Smultron - I use TextMate, which is great but isn't free (I got it at discount).

For Bittorrent I prefer Transmission.

Other top free software for Mac:
App launcher/general scriptable goodness: Quicksilver
Codec pack for QuickTime: Perian
DVD converter: Handbrake

Transmisison is banned from a few trackers for incorrectly reporting stats. So is BitRocket.
