I admit I haven't checked recently, but didn't the Xbone launch like £100 more expensive than the PS4? Until they decided to ship a version without the Kinect 2.0, bring them both down to around £350?

It was £80 more with Kinect, but now they're doing a version without it the console looks to be cheaper than the PS4 from most places, even though the RRPs are the same. Given the lack of sales, I expect that to continue for the foreseeable future. You can pick up an Xbone with FH2 for £330 now.

Most PS4 bundles are £329.99. Destiny was.

Polygon scored Drive Club at 7.5 compared to 7 for FH:2 - http://www.polygon.com/2014/10/7/657053 ... ystation-4

Eurogamer - 6 - http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014- ... lub-review
IGN - 7.9 - http://uk.ign.com/articles/2014/10/07/driveclub-review
Joystiq - 3/5 - http://www.joystiq.com/2014/10/07/drive ... rd-drives/

Bit of a mix, mostly good though. Not entirely sure it'd going to sate my open-world hunger but it is certainly pretty with an interesting gameplay model.

Good scores for a new franchise, I think. :)

Not enough to make me rush out and get a PS4, and I think I'd prefer FH2 as I like their physics, but any competition at this level is very much welcome.

Btw Joe, did you see that The Crew has been pushed back again? Looking very likely that it's piss poor, a lot of the console beta player felt the same as I did about the PC beta, i.e. it's shit.

Yeah, it's a good idea, just needs a good developer.

Metacritic of 74 so for DC, 86 for FH2. I'm sure that DC will go up as more reviews come out though.

Remember that you can play Drive Club for free to see if you like it with the PS+ version.
You'll need a PS+ subscription to play online anyway.
You get all of India and all game modes with the free version then it's just £35 to upgrade to the full version.
If your PS+ subscription lapses the game remains yours.

The PS+ edition has been delayed, although they've not said until when. Server issues, apparently.

Maybe they could consider putting in the dynamic weather as well that was promised?

They had extra months to put that in, and still couldn't get it done on time?

Cars and that, yeah. Carry on. Don't mind the one-dimensional internet slut that I've become.
