Ah, I've not gone to the combat zone yet, that was my next task. I keep getting sidetracked by other stuff, it's ace. :)

My game bugged yesterday, so it wouldn't notify me of gaining XP when you discover stuff. Didn't worry about it too much, although a few hours in it occurred to me I must be missing out on a shitload of XP! Went to the stats page, and noticed a number by the level up button... Yup, I'd still been gaining XP but with no notifications, I hadn't realised I'd jumped four levels and needed to grab some perks :D

Also, the chameleon armour (not a spoiler, it's a random leg part I got by defeating a bad guy) is glitchy as hell. It makes you invisible when crouching and not moving, however it makes your Pipboy invisible as well so you can't see anything on it! Not sure if real broken, or Bethesda trolling hard.

If you can shoot the nuke out of his hand, it makes life interesting when he's stood near his mates ;)

I got an invisible weapon and pipboy glitch the other day. It was odd seeing a muzzle flash without the gun.

If you're into building up your settlements it might be a good idea to put points into Charisma.
You need lvl 6 Charisma to get access to the "Local Leader perk".
You can share resources/junk between settlements with that apparently.
I haven't got it yet.

I'm just not going to bother with settlements. I've built a nice home to keep my things in but fuck other people, I'm lone wolfing it from now on.

That's where I chucked all my points, as I really wanted that perk to save me running around everywhere. Now I find out that you still can't auto-share, you have to tell a person to actually go trade your stuff.

Yes, obvious. No, not obvious enough for me. :(

Just started playing Fallout New Vegas last night. Thought I ought to play through that one before I go buying the new edition, plus by the time I'm done with it, the GOTY version of Fallout 4 should hopefully be out :D

I'm liking the concrete bunker like feel to the level floor blocks.
I have the whole of the wall around Red Rocket built on a grid. [/OCD  ]

Hooked up my new 1920x1080 monitor.
Took out the mod I had to install to get the game to run @ 800x600 on a 1280x1024 monitor.
Set the FOV back to its default. Ran the game @ 1920x1080 and ... WTF?
Looks good and seems to run fairly smoothly. :?

Strange happenings in Fallout 4.

1. I'm building my own army, which is cool. 8)

2. A two-headed cow is living on the roof of my house, which is less cool.

3. I walked into a back room in Cambridge Police station unannounced. I possibly should have knocked.

I'm still playing on Xbone, despite now having this on PC. I only bought it on PC so I could much around in the console and really explore the game, and I just know the temptation to cheat my way through the game would be too strong so I'm sticking with console until I've finished.

And I'm glad I did, as the fear when you come across a Behemoth for the first time is truly real

Did you get a discount because the one on the left has no head?

No, that's a feature of the new Power Armour dude.
You can retract your head section during combat.
It's called ... Ostrich Mode. ;)

The benefit of course is that your head is very well protected.
The only down side is that you can't see very well. :?
