DiRT Rally

Postby Dan » Sun Nov 15, 2015 5:52 pm

This is awesome.

If you've played any of the previous games in the DiRT series, forget them. This is a proper rally game, much like the old Colin McRae series - authentic cars, style of racing, handling... Lots of fun.

I saw a video of it a when it first game out - looks great but it's still in Early Access and I refuse to buy Early Access games unless they are very cheap i.e less than a fiver.

How awesome is it?

I got dirt3 last week and enjoy it.

RS2000 and Metro 6r4 = win.

Also, Ekona will love this. I know a guy IRL who has had an RS2000 for about 20 years and has recently restored it to original spec and has spent over 200k on it.

Now out of early access. Having a lot of fun with this. Good gradual learning curve, though definitely starting to find it a bit tricky to make big improvements now.

The cars make a big difference to the difficulty. Have been playing with hillclimb recently, and initially bought the Peugot 205. Completely uncontrollable. Couldn't make it round a single corner. Changed to the 405, and was in the next championship up three races later.
