WTF IS WRONG WITH VISUAL STUDIO

Postby Steve » Mon Nov 30, 2009 6:51 pm

Seems to work for a while then all of a sudden nothing will compile.

For this program I'm using a multimedia library called SFML, but I don't think it's anything to do with that. Hello world doesn't even compile.

I haven't changed any settings since installing apart from fonts/colours.

I've Googled the errors but I can't find a straight answer anywhere. I know it's something with the linker but I don't have a clue.

If someone does, please enlighten me.

Is the library you are using compiled in a previous version of VS (like Visual Studio 6)? It might be a type issue, the way you have defined the function in question, or not called the class correctly.

Also, have a look here.

Yeah I'm using the right version of the library (2008)

I copied all the /include and the /lib files to the right Visual Studio folder.

I've added the right .lib files to the linkers additional dependencies and IT STILL DOESN'T WORK

I've just decided that this library is broken and made of aids.
