You'd have to be crazy to take on a project for family.
Personally, I'd price myself out of their range, make it as complicated and drawn out as possible and hope to jebus they forget they asked.
You're asking for a never ending list of "can you just..." requests who place no value on the level of work needed. They'd also expect family-rates, and you'd find your free time vanishes creating something that in the end won't have been worth the effort. Plus you'd end up doing "small changes" for free forever because you can do it quick, which turn out to not be a small change but in fact take you several passes with more "can you just..".

Just my thoughts!

Ta, but it's not family. ;)

I'm still waiting to see if they want to take me up on my offer. If they do, I'll make it very clear that any alterations after it's done will be billed accordingly.
