To be honest, I'm getting sick of it. Everywhere I go, I either get killed by something huge that mutates mid fight and regains all its health or I spunk away all my ammo and stimpaks to kill it with fuck all to show for it.
I'm only level 12 but every enemy I meet is Legendary or master and hard as fuck but magically carrying a shit gun that's worse than my shit gun.

My tips:

Use the ghost bullet trick on the trader that comes to Sanctuary to get free ammo & Stimpaks.
I think the male trader in Diamond city has been patched, but most of the others haven't... yet.

Don't go East or South of the fallen highways at level 12 unless you're on a quest. That's where the Legendary fuckers are.

If you're getting low on 10mm ammo, switch to a laser for a while.
Same with the shogun. Low on shells? Switch to a .44 combat shotgun for a while.

I'm level 24. But a follower still comes in handy as a bullet magnet when shit gets real.
Just back off a bit when you get attacked and they'll go for your follower.
Take them down before he/she goes down.
Cait for example goes down on me all the time. ;)

And find better weapons and armour for fuck sake!

I might break my golden rule and play on a lower difficulty setting. I feel like a panty wearing thunder pussy for even thinking that but Alpha deathclaws are hard.

lol :D
It doesn't actually give that to you tho', does it?

Save up your .50 cal rounds.
I got a sweet .50 cal suppressed sniper rifle. 8)

Just had a sublime moment in the game.
I was heading to a quest point in the city.
I decided to skirt around some super mutants in a stronghold.
I could hear a ticking suicider in there as I went around it.
On the far side was a Raider camp. I was going to go around that as well.
Then the Raiders and the super mutants started a war with each other as I passed.
I spotted a raider peeking around a barrier so I decided to take him out for the craic like.
Going into VATS I saw a super mutant running up to me.
I had no idea he was there. Heard the ticking getting louder.
Just got out of VATS and spun around in time for...
YOU DIE HUMAN! - BOOOOOOooooommmmmm.

I don't mind dying when it's class. ;)

I have 94 hours in this game now and still loving it. :wubs:

So, my shiny alien blaster is running low on alien bullets. I know you can convert it to use fusion cells but does anyone know what perks I need to be able to do that?

I don't even have the alien blaster yet :(

I'm guessing that Science of 4 (and possibly Guns on 4 as well) should do it. No other perks that I can see on there that would help, anyway.

lol :D

I don't have it either. I think I had a chance to get it but I got kill-ed.
And when I re-spawned and went back to the spot, they weren't there. :|

Meanwhile... I have made an erection to myself. 8)

Jesus this game eats time.

Last night I had a look at amour and weapons mods.
Did you know that you can strip mods from one piece and attach it to another?
Including mods that you can't make yet.

So I had shitty amour that I looked gay in, but it had good radiation resistance so I wore it.
Last night I found that I could take some heavy combat armour with high damage resistance,
but no radiation resistance and then take another piece of combat amour with radiation resistance,
take the lead out of that and put it into the first piece, giving me high damage & radiation resistance. 8)

The same with weapons mods.
I have about x40 .10mm pistols with various mods.
I took the one with the best special attribute - 50% extra damage against humans, as below.
Stripped out the best mods from the other .10mms and attached them to it.

I was doing this for about an hour and a half after I should have gone to bed.
Now I just have to do the same to my .308 & .50cal sniper, and my shottie.

I've just hit the Institute. I can only imagine how awesome that would've been had I not been hit with the spoiler earlier. :(

Finished the main quest last night, or at least from the BoS point of view. Not sure if that was the 'right' ending for me, but then I don't feel hugely attached to any of the factions really. Next play through will be as the Institute, I think.

Such an awesome game though. So much awesome. So much still to see!
