Have England at last got a confident and reliable penalty taker?

No.

HTH

Don't matter if they did, they'd only bottle it during the game itself anyway.

One man doth not maketh a team.

And Kane isn't world class yet, not by a long shot.

Ofcourse you are right, he isn't, but he certainly seems confident at penalty taking.

I'd like to see him take a pen in a big game at the death when it's a win or lose situation.

Cannot replicate that pressure even if youre playing in the last NLD at WHL when youre leading, comfortable and completely on top.

I think he is proving the point, two consecutive golden boots. Missing out this year, but in so doing scored more goals than the preceeding season.

Yup, he's world class now.

Still makes no difference when the rest of the team play like arse whenever in a white shirt. The quicker England get knocked out of the WC the better, I can start enjoying it and watching some decent teams instead then.

Well, I just happen to think that the young men who are representing England have done so very well up to this point. Kane is a serious contender for the golden boot, and wow, such delicious penalties.

Southgate does have a real issue now, does he play a largely unchanged team, or does he give everyone their chance, and possibly give himself an even bigger headache if they do well too.

He plays a changed team and we lose. ;)

If we beat Colombia he's a genius, if we lose then he's a failure.

To an extent I agree with you, however I really do think regardless of the result against Columbia that the correct decision was made for lastnights match.

Must admit I agree with you, the risk of someone important getting injured or red carded in a game that's a dead rubber just wasn't worth it. Besides, why not boost morale by giving squad members a game? That cannot be a bad thing at all.

Well, England and Mr Southgate have done it. Amazingly after a penalty shoot out. Could 2018 be our turn, this is a young team, and the team attitude seems to be so strong.

Mr Kane, Mr Cool.

We're never going to win it, but it's fun whilst it lasts.
